SanDisk Cruzer Micro 4GB

Thursday, November 8th, 2007

imageI figured I would try and start posting prices on some of the technology stuff I want so I can track over time how retardedly cheap this stuff gets if I can just wait long enough.  Yesterday I managed to break my 4GB pen drive and have reverted to my old one.  But the form factor and strength of my old one is so much better as it is similar to the one pictured and is perfect for a key chain because it is not flimsy and made of plastic.  My only issue is it is 1 GB.  Typically all I keep on my pen drive are some key files along with Portable Apps which is great for computers that are locked down or when you are browsing at a friends house.  Well this pen drive is currently at $54 on Amazon.  I think I will hold out on my 1GB for a little longer until I find a reason other than just a want to get a bigger one!   I know that SanDisk sells the titanium ones as well but I really like this form much better as it is much more convenient on a key chain and doesn’t bend while i plug it into a computer with the rest of my keys hanging off

Solar LED Road Lights

Monday, November 5th, 2007

image Possibly the best idea I have ever heard of.  One thing about Colorado roads is that they are poorly lit and hard to see especially late night in a rain storm.  I often like to call I-70 the road to nowhere in the dark because you cannot see anything beyond your headlights.  Now if they can get these things down to a reasonable price and fix it so that the snow plows don’t scrape them off in the winter I think this is awesome.  This would be another idea I thought of by the way…really need to start doing stuff I think of!

Eye-Fi Wireless Card

Saturday, November 3rd, 2007

image This is a great idea.  This little card plugs into your SD port and doubles as memory (2GB) and a wireless transmitter to connect to your computer/network.  Every time you are in range of your wireless it automatically uploads to the Internet and syncs your pictures so no more wires to fumble with.  I hope that they come out with more mediums then just SD but this is a great idea and makes things super easy.  You can program your wireless internet settings to the card by just inserting it into a card reader or plugging in your camera to your computer and using a very easy interface to set all the options

D-Link DGL-4500 Router with OLED Display

image image

Not that I have ever had any luck with D-Link routers looks like everyone is in the game for that fancy OLED display of your stats.  I think that this is a great idea.  Seems they like to jack up the price on the ‘gaming’ routers just because they suppose QoS so this one is $240 and of course 802.11N standard.

USB Video Extender

Thursday, November 1st, 2007

image For those of us who love the multiple monitor setup this is a great alternative to buying an expensive video card.  It just plugs into your USB port and on the other side is DVI or Analog VGA and runs $119.  I am still waiting for those monitors that just plugged into your USB ports that should be nice especially with the new USB 3.0 standard defined as basically insane

Ah yes please!  This multi projector simulator is known as MetaVR Virtual Reality Scene Generator (VRSG)™, why does the government always get the best toys?  Oh wait…that’s right its because I give them 1/3 of my paycheck every 2 weeks!  I wonder how much fun Ratchet & Clank would be to play on this thing!

Ratchet & Clank Future

ratchet and clank.jpg

Quiet possibly the best game ever made and they just came out with a new series. Ratchet & Clank Future I think I now have a bunch of reasons to buy that PS3 I have always wanted to get…too bad school is in the way and the lack of an HDTV doesn’t help either

XBox360 Crashes

xbox360
Well what do you know a product by Microsoft crashes? Really I find that hard to believe, and think after I robbed someone at gun point for it! People are crazy, looks like the Xbox360 has a problem with the power supply overheating and causeing the system to crash. Some great quality control as always from Microsoft.

Think I’ll wait till the PS3, and then I’ll probably get another computer better for gameing! Good thing I am made of money…oh wait…crap!

Battlefield 2

Saturday, November 26th, 2005

Battlefield 2 Logo So I thought I would get a different type of game and went for a more army based game. This game is great but it will be a while before I can go online because the damn 12 year olds keep killing me and laughing online through the microphone! Yea no more running out and just killing everyone, this one requires some thinking before you make any moves
