Tweak Firefox memory usage
Monday, April 3rd, 2006
So if you haven’t noticed Firefox eats memory like a mofo. This is becasue of a fast-back fast-forward option that they have. Basically firefox caches in memory up to the last 8 pages you have been on. This tends to eat away at your memory, if you have a fast internet connection I would disable it.
To disable it goto about:config in firefox in a new tab, in the filter box filter for browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewers, then double click and change the value to 0
Third Party Apps for DBMS
Tuesday, February 28th, 2006So this is the best third party apps I know about for MySQL, MS-SQL Server, Postgre, and Firebird if you are into the third party apps for Windows. I like these because they have code completion which makes writing SQL much faster and accurate. All are free applications from http://www.sqlmanager.net/

Ipod Sync
Saturday, January 7th, 2006Alright well I broke down and bought an Ipod over Xmass. So the things I dont like about it the fact ITunes controls everything and does DRM. So ITunes doesn’t sync with other folders so whenever I add music I have to do it manually to ITunes. Well here comes an app to the rescue. ITunes Library Updater does everything. I just point it to a directory and it syncs ITunes and my IPod and all I have to do is click one button. It keeps my ITunes time to a minimum which is great! Very Nice, check it out….
Galleon

Well for those of you with Tivo, this is the application to have. It takes place of the crappy Tivo Desktop and adds a ton of functionality. It crashed a lot on me with Windows so I went to Linux and ran it with no issues.
