For those of you who are paranoid or worried that someone would really get to see the term paper you wrote in college this product makes a lot of sense. I like the idea that it is totally self contained and provides power to the drive it is about to erase. Personally I use Eraser for Windows to clean my tracks with my work computer and that does a 7 pass multipass of random data on the drive. And that was free but I guess if you are in the business of eraseing HD’s this is a good idea! Price is at $149 and is compatible with PATA and SATA drives
