Finally an application that does everything that I want it to. I subscribe to FileHippo’s updated RSS feed so I need all the programs that are updated daily. MediaMonkey was one of them and it caught my eye that it finds and fixes missing album art. So I figured I would try it to manage my music.
Wow! Amazing application within a few hours I updated all my missing music art and also corrected a bunch of mislabeled tags, deleted some duplicate music, and leveled the volume on a few tracks. This software is amazing and is really easy to use. What would have taken me like 5 applications I can do all in one.
It also will manage my phone and iTouch. So no more working with iTunes to sync music and it is soo much easier to pick music and fill my iTouch and I can also have it automatically sync and fill based on music I listen to here and there on my PC. It also links in streaming music and a few other things amazing!
There is a paid version of the application that gives you more robust usage of ripping music and managing your large music library. The price is a modest $39.99 but so far I haven’t found a reason to upgrade past the free version. One thing I like is the super light package this all comes in <10MB This software is a must have!
I am always on the search for the best utilities for basic computer needs. This one came up as the best free CD burning software via LifeHacker. It does everything that you need it to and has a super clean easy interface. I like this one because the last free burner software I was using didn’t allow you to burn from an ISO image which was a huge pain in the butt.
Another AdobeAir application lets you run
Adobe has a new product on the web called AdobeAir. This is an interesting little project as it allows web applications to stand alone as their own applications so you do not need to run them constantly in FireFox. It works off the same idea as Prism from Mozilla. One nice part about this application is anyone can build stand alone air applications. Another nice feature is that these applications will update themselves as new versions come along so no hard work there to stay up to date. The application syncs with Google Reader so your items are marked correctly as you read them. With the latest version they have added in all the shortcut keys you have access to on the web.
So for those people who like to post images in Picasa web album but not enable you to download them this little Java app lets you get around clicking each one and downloading. This is helpful for people like my father who I have setup a full website for but never uses it and just uses Picasa (which was a feat in itself to get him to do)
I figured I would upload this file because it looks like some of my favorite applications are starting to disappear online or go for a paid model. I have mentioned this one before and it is by far the easiest and best way to manage your MP3 tags.

TipCam is a free application that will allow you to record a video of your desktop, this is especially helpful when trying to so someone who is not so computer literate how to do something that is complicated to describe over the phone.
