Well if you haven’t noticed I have installed a very nice gallery plugin for WordPress. This is going to replace my Coppermine photo gallery which has worked well until now and I have decided I wanted something more closely related to my blog. This program is super easy to install just download, unzip and upload to the plugin folder and then activate the plugin. It also has a widget which you can install which will run in the sidebars and you can have it randomly select images or stick to one image. I also had to install JW Image Rotation for the slide show option to work correctly
So I stumbled upon this site today after reading a blog that said Adobe is going to be moving to an online only model with no more desktop applications. This site seems pretty robust and easy to use. it also integrates into Google, Photobucket, or flicker for any pictures you may have already posted.
If you are in the need of a light weight photo editor that is easy to use and cross platform XnView makes for a good option. It gives you some of the quick editing features I have only been able to find in Photoshop which is um…not free. Also I find that the gimp can be clunky for quick photo editing. It allows you to change formats and edit meta tags easily as well.
Afraid of heights? Then you’ll probably want to stay the hell away from the Bailong Elevator, a glass elevator built onto the side of a huge cliff in Zhangjiajie, China that takes you a whopping 1,070 feet high. This stomach-dropping ride is the highest and heaviest outdoor elevator in the world, and its future isn’t certain; apparently it’s bad for the cliffs to have a gigantic elevator stuck on the side of them. So if you feel like experiencing the pants-crapping good time that riding in this thing would provide, you’d better do it now while you still have the chance, as it might be dismantled in the near future. Hit the jump for an impressive picture of the elevator from the ground.
Check this stuff out Dubai is crazy with development its amazing how quickly they are building this crap!
